Some of the steel has arrived and work has started on the hull today.

I'll post some of the working drawings here shortly while we're waiting for the steelwork to start.

A boat built at a distance

We're building this narrowboat for Lynne and Dennis who are in Australia and will be until the end of the build. We've had lots of conversations and have a clear idea of how they want the boat to look. On the outside it will be white will bold colourful signpainting and illustrations. The inside will be cosy in oak with lots of burgundy upholstery and brass fittings but with a bright clean white kitchen.
