The outside

The boat is now in the painting workshop. We're very excited about the exterior paintwork. The boat has been prepped for her coat of white and then Jason will be coming in to work his magic on the kangaroo and koala!

Inside out

We've cleared out of the inside now and the boat has gone!...into the painting workshop. The interior is looking more homely now the stove chimney is in, we're just waiting for the cushions and sofa and curtains to finish it off. Photos to follow...

Cratch and stern covers

Pete came in to pattern for the covers today. There will be a cratch and a stern cover in deep cherry red which will match the signpainting.

Bathroom

The bathroom is partially installed, complete with delicate pebble mosaic in the shower seen here ready for grouting.

Lounge

Here are some more photos of the lounge

Bedroom

The bedroom is coming along nicely. The overbed cupbaords are in spanning the whole cabin side and Dave's made a brilliant cross-bed with a gliding pull-across mechanism which will make bedtime really easy.

Bathroom

Dave is progressing well with the bathroom, the shower is nearly in and the washbasin/vanity unit is looking stunning.

Dresser

The specially designed dresser which we've stained a deeper oak so it stands alone as a piece of furniture rather than being another 'built-in' element of the boat. It looks beautiful.

Stove

The hearth is tiled and once it's grouted the stove can go in. The slate tiles look really great and will compliment the burgundy upholstery.

Dinette

The dinette and table top are done, we're waiting for the fabric for the cushions now.

Kitchen nearly finished

Dave is just making the high level cupboard in the kitchen, then the kitchen will be ready for trimming.

Kitchen

Here is the partially finished kitchen with the Hanex worksurface in place.

Dinette

We've moved swiftly on to the dinette now and Dave is making a lovely stripey oak and sapele tabletop inspired by the one in our recent Dutch Barge Theophilus. Here is the oak before the sapele is inlaid.

Guitars

We've been talking about possibilities for displaying the two acoustic guitars. It looks like the best option would be on the upper like this. These guitars are not totally to scale but give us an idea! Here are the real guitars!

Kitchen

Dave is doing a great job on the kitchen, he's just making finishing touches to the composite worksurface now and should be installing it tomorrow.

Engine

The engine installation is going well.

Lined out

The boat is lined out and the posts are in for the room spaces. We will start building the interior from the kitchen.
